Taifa is the absolute best therapist I have had. I have had numerous therapists and never seemed to stick with them because I never felt connected. Taifa is easy to talk to and makes you feel like you can truly express your feelings without fear of judgement. She offers valuable solutions and her support is unmatched. If you are looking for someone to positively walk you through your life's journey, I highly recommend Taifa. I can honestly say that I look forward to our sessions.

Taifa is a knowledgeable, patient, and empathetic therapist who provides resources and exercises in addition to a listening ear and thoughtful contemplation. I came to her broken and traumatized as the result of severe workplace bullying and overcome by grief after losing loved ones. It is not easy to navigate this world as a woman of color. It is even more difficult having to translate those experiences while in therapy with counselors who will never know what it is like to have this existence. That is what is so special about Taifa. Not only is she an AMAZING counselor, she walks in the same dark skin. She does not unconsciously belittle my experiences because she knows how Black women are treated and dedicates her career to helping to restore our dignity. I highly recommend her services.

Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Taifa, but I will try anyway. Taifa is extremely welcoming, compassionate and really helped me navigate my anxiety. She really helped guide me to figuring out who l am and being comfortable with that. I am an anxious person, and I have a lot of ticks, but Taifa showed me that instead of hating those parts about myself or trying to fix it, why not meet myself where l am and accommodate myself. For example, there are certain sounds that will send me into a frenzy, so l will never leave my house without a pair of headphones and I'm not afraid to put them in. Or if I get overstimulated, instead of staying in the overstimulating environment because I am ashamed at how I feel, I've learned to allow myself to temporarily remove myself from the environment to recollect myself. She's taught me that it's okay to do those things. I can definitely say that since seeing Taifa, I have learned so much about myself and how to navigate my emotions and since then, my life has gotten so much better.

Taifa McLarin is the absolute best. As a working single mother, heavy with obligation to many other people, I didn’t know where to start until I met her. She patiently helped me dig myself out of the darkness, step by step into an amazing life of balance and peace of mind. Following her guidance, the results have been permanent and consistent. Now I see her as needed. It gives me peace knowing I can always schedule if I need support finding my way into new seasons of life.
